ESO RECYCLING Danmark participates in LOOP Forum
28–29 April 2026, Copenhagen
ESO RECYCLING Società Benefit, an Italian company based in Tolentino (Marche region), specializing in circular economy processes for the treatment of sports waste, personal protective equipment (PPE), and fashion industry scraps, is strengthening its presence in Denmark.
Building on its success in Italy—where it has developed a complete circular supply chain covering waste collection, regeneration, the creation of secondary raw materials, and their use in new products—ESO RECYCLING has chosen Denmark to expand its circular economy model, promoting the exchange of expertise, experience, and best practices across countries.
Leveraging its Italian experience with the esosport project, launched in 2009 for the collection and recycling of end-of-life sports materials, ESO RECYCLING will take part in LOOP Forum, held in Copenhagen from 28 to 29 April 2026.
The company will be present at the event with its own stand (no. 64) and with the placement of ESObox esosport collection units for end-of-life sports shoes.
“We are delighted to be participating in LOOP Forum in Copenhagen,” says Nicolas Meletiou, Managing Director of ESO RECYCLING Danmark.
“Our ambition is to become a strategic platform for the development of the circular economy in the Nordic market, leveraging a model inspired by the Italian esosport project—transforming a simple act, such as dropping off worn-out sports shoes at a collection point, into something tangible for the community.
LOOP Forum is the perfect opportunity to present our vision of circularity in the waste sector and our pilot project in Herning. We stand out for a practical and tangible approach, where waste is transformed into useful resources for creating visible and accessible community infrastructures, such as playgrounds and athletics tracks.”
ESO RECYCLING Danmark is based in the city of Herning, chosen for its strong industrial identity and its historical connection to the textile and manufacturing sectors.
The Municipality of Herning, thanks to the Mayor and the entire administration—who have successfully involved schools and the local community—is the first in Denmark to launch the esosport project.
