Double-layer structure
Its composition ensures maximum performance and durability:
- Top layer: crafted from high-quality rubber derived from recycled sports shoes, this layer creates an elastic and porous surface that is comfortable to walk or play on, visually vibrant, and naturally responsive. It offers excellent bounce, impact absorption, and tactile comfort, making it ideal for active play areas.
- Bottom layer: composed of recycled SBR rubber sourced from bicycle tires, this foundational layer provides structural support, long-lasting durability, and enhanced shock absorption. By utilizing post-consumer materials, it also contributes to environmental sustainability and supports the principles of a circular economy.
Together, these layers combine to create a safe, resilient, and eco-friendly surface that maximizes both performance and longevity, while promoting responsible use of recycled materials.
Technical specifications
- Variable thicknesses from 2 to 7 cm: engineered according to the European standard UNI EN 1177 for head injury protection, ensuring optimal safety for children and adults in playgrounds and recreational areas.
- Non-slip, draining, and weather-resistant surface: designed to maintain grip under all conditions, promote water drainage, and withstand exposure to sun, rain, and temperature changes without losing elasticity or durability.
- Poured-in-place installation: achieved by combining rubber granules with a two-component polyurethane binder to create a uniform, workable mass that is applied directly on site, resulting in a seamless, continuous surface that minimizes joints and weak points.
- Certifications: ISO 9001 – UNI EN 1177, guaranteeing internationally recognized standards of quality, safety, and performance for both materials and installation processes.
